Evaluation of Systems and Services

Challenge:

As part of an Evaluation of Systems and Services course, my team had to analyze and evaluate the current website used to search for content on emerging green technologies.

Process:

• Creation of a flow map
• Creation of personas and scenarios
• Development of comparative analysis
• Design and deployment of surveys
• Heuristic evaluation

My Role:

I was involved in the creation of surveys that were administered to potential users of our system in order to understand their needs. After this I participated in the creation of an affinity wall where we identified the users main needs and where able to direct our investigation and system design to accommodate those needs.

I started lo-fi sketches of screen layouts and then iterated to the final interface of our system the which I was involved in prototyping in HTML in order to demo and preform user testing on specific tasks that had been discovered in our contextual inquiry that were desired by users.

Outcome:

• Satisfied client
• Redisign of site based on recomendations.
